I’m proud to announce that my drama “The Last Flight of the Electra” has been recognized as a semifinalist as part of Words Cubed, sponsored by the Utah Shakespeare Festival!

One of the longer and more respected new play development initiatives, the Utah Shakespeare Festival was founded in 1961 to provide great entertainment for an estimated quarter of a million summer tourists who come annually to the Cedar City, Utah area desiring more evening activities after visiting the area’s national parks.
Now linked to Southern Utah University, the Utah Shakespeare Festival “plays to over 100,000 patrons annually over a sixteen-week season”, producing six to seven professional plays, alongside smaller educational productions tour to schools throughout the West during the winter months in keeping with its mission to entertain, enrich, and educate its audiences.
My play “Electra” was chosen among a handful of 200+ submissions across the United States to be considered for a festival slot.
Many thanks to the Utah Shakespeare Festival and the great work they do to bring light and attention to new plays across America.
